BRIDAL GUIDES
TRAVEL BRIDE : 3 DESTINATIONS FOR YOUR WEDDING LIST
Dreaming of blue skies for your big day? These are the paradise locations you’ll be adding to your wedding wishlist.
We all want to see a bit of sun on our wedding day, but whilst most cross their fingers and hope for the best, the smart brides are plotting their wedding in far flung places where they can swap grey skies for stunning backdrops or blue waters. We’ve picked out our top slices of paradise to dream about for the perfect bridal experience (and for built in honeymoon happiness!)
1. THE CARIBBEAN
The one to beat all others. You can’t go wrong with powder white sand and tropical breezes. We love Antigua, and St. Lucia but our No. 1 pick is Barbados every time.
This island paradise has it all. Perfect backdrops to say your vows and amazing honeymoon experiences from swimming with turtles to rum tours and shopping at the buzzing capital Bridgetown.
We love The Lone Star boutique hotel. This 5 star location started life as The Lone Star Garage and is now a retro chic retreat with a world famous restaurant (a celebrity haunt). We’ve done a photoshoot here and can vouch for the world class vibe.
2. INDIA
The destination for exotic romance. India has the scenic spots, culture, and rich history. For us, the top of the list has to be Jaipure, known as the Pink City.
Its a truly gorgeous backdrop for any wedding, with plenty to do on your honeymoon including tours of palaces and temples, vibrant bazaars and safaris to spot tigers.
For an unforgettable stay, head for the Rambagh Palace knowns as the Jewel of Jaipur. Built in 1835 it radiated stately elegance with iconic architecture and exclusive luxury.
3. ITALY
Top of our European destinations has to be Italy, it’s beautiful all over but we’re targeting Venice. This is the ultimate city wedding pick for us, with iconic landmarks, and chic luxury everywhere you look.
A wedding at the side of the Grand Canal would be unforgettable, and you’re sure to love a honeymoon filled to the brim with city cool experiences ; Sip a Bellini at Harry’s Bar where it was invented, take a trip to Murano for the glassworks and explore the city from a gondola.
There’s only one place to stay in Venice, no-where else comes close. Take in the old world charm of The Cipriani (a Belmont hotel and they also own the Orient Express which tells you all you need to know). This is the most glamorous stay in Venice and boasts the only pool, as well as its own water taxi heading to St. Marks Square around the clock.
